And they probably all will, but, now you've found us, relax, get a cup of tea or glass of wine and enjoy having a look around our site, we will try to take all the stress out of your soft furnishing needs. We have a free measuring and estimating service, our fitter will come to your home,
he even takes his shoes off before entering, and will advise you on the best window dressing,
curtain track or curtain pole for your window, he carries with him
a large curtain fabrics and
blinds style book which includes swags tails and pelmets, and, catalogues of curtain poles and
tracks so you can go through them with him all without any obligation. For
those of you who like
to make your own curtains we can also work out the quantities and supply you with just the curtain
fabric and linings from
any of our ranges. You can download a measure sheet to help us work out these
for you, or bring in for us to work out the made up curtain prices.
THIS MONTH'S FEATURED MAGAZINE - April
Well, this month we thought we`d take a look at what we can offer from the House Beautiful April 2012 magazine.
So, starting by looking at the vibrant coloured shutters on page two, we have a fantastic range of artisan wood blinds in some really bright colours and considerably less than the £270 per square metre quoted (watch out for our new window display for the brightest of the bright blinds…. imagine a tequila sunrise in wood!!!!) We can even do a gold leaf venetian blind!!! Further through the magazine you`ll see lots of bird designs and both Blendworth and Prestigious do these in various colourways.
Page 25 shows you the lavender polka dots and we have polka dots in a whole range of colours, If you've taken a shine to the birdcage cushion on page 52, well why stop right there. We have a beautiful birdcage design in a roller blind. Looking at the advert for Harveys furniture on page 59, they have set their furniture with a very simple window treatment of white on white poles and we have a selection of several ranges that will give you this really chic and simple look.
The silhouette blind shown on the Luxaflex ad, we have on display in the shop. It's a very different window dressing and comes in range of soft pastel shades. The grey and yellow combination are everywhere at the moment with both Blendworth and Prestigious having designs in these colourways. Prestigious are following or leading the trend in architectural building designs.
Clarke and Clarke, as their adverts show, have some really pretty designs in floral strips and ginghams (which are back again), and used in combination with florals as borders and trims look so so fresh and pretty. Looking at the Velux advert, we are able to supply and fit these blinds which are really easy to do; we don't even have to measure as each blinds has a code that is all you need to give us... how easy is that! We have there catalogue in the shop.
And finally, looking at the duck egg blues on page 104, this has become a classic now and the beautiful soft pinch headed curtains show it off so well. There is a huge assortment of fabrics to give this look.
So that's our little dip into the current trends this month. If you ever see anything you like, it's always worth asking us if we can get it as we have our sources for most things, even where we don't always carry the books, and can get samples and supply most ranges for you. NEXT MONTHS MAGAZINE IS GOING TO BE COUNTRY HOMES AND INTERIORS.... I will force myself to sit with my feet up perusing this magazine in order to keep you all up to date with the trends, possibly with a little glass of wine….. ahh the things I do for work!!!!!!!

How To Find Us
We`re based in the really pleasant and friendly village of Tiptree in Essex, approx 20 minutes from Chelmsford and 15 minutes from Colchester, where we have thousands of curtain fabric samples for you to browse at your leisure. Conveniently we're right next to a carpet shop so matching carpets to your curtain fabric samples isn't a problem.

Furniture
We are able to offer a range of occasional chairs, stools and storage boxes from Stuart Jones, one of the very few British companies still making furniture over here so please help us support them, they also make a range of headboards and bedside tables you can link to their website to see the complete range we have some samples in the shop and as it's been really popular we will be getting more. You can choose to use their fabrics or choose from the other ranges in the shop, its lovely - you need to see it.
